Master's Programs

Programs leading to the Master of Music degree are offered in:

Master of Arts degrees are offered in musicology (music history emphasis only; please note that the theory emphasis is not currently accepting students).

A joint MA/MLS degree in music librarianship and music teacher certification (non-degree) is also available.

Graduate Artist Diploma

The Graduate Artist Diploma is a graduate-level performance program for only the most talented and outstanding performers.

This program is offered to students in the performing areas of

  • Orchestral Conducting
  • Piano
  • Strings (violin and cello only)
  • Voice

Doctoral Programs

Programs leading to the Doctor of Musical Arts degree are offered in:

Doctor of Philosophy degrees are offered in musicology. (music history emphasis only; please note that the theory emphasis is not currently accepting students).

Audition Information

  • Auditions for Fall 2012 admission will take place on the following dates:
    • December 3, 2011 (Early Action students must audition on this day)
    • January 14, 2012
    • February 4, 2012
    • March 24, 2012 (Graduate and Transfer students only; no Musical Theatre students may audition on this day)
