General Information

The Benjamin T. Rome School of Music offers the Bachelor of Music degree with majors available in composition, music education, musical theatre, and vocal or instrumental performance.  Masters and doctoral degrees are available in music history, music theory, Sacred music, composition, orchestral conducting,  performance (orchestral instruments, piano, vocal accompanying or chamber music, voice) and pedagogy. The school sponsors more than 200 concerts annually. 

CUA music organizations perform at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception and other venues.  The school houses the Summer Opera Theatre Company, a professional and national company.
