Marilyn Neeley, (M.A., B.M., University of Southern California), professor of piano, chair of the piano division, and faculty adviser in piano performance and in chamber music and vocal accompanying. Prize winner in the Van Cliburn, Leventritt, Michaels, and Geneva International Competitions with solo appearances with more than 100 symphony orchestras, including the Chicago Symphony, the Boston Symphony and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Recipient of the Outstanding Alumna of the school of music and Distinguished Alumna of the University awards from the University of Southern California. Concert tours in Europe, Latin America and Mexico, as well as Artist-in-Residence at the Cairo Conservatory and soloist with the Conservatory Orchestra in Cairo and Alexandria. Recent convention artist for the Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Georgia, Oregon, Alabama and California State Music Teachers Associations. Recent lectures for Cleveland, Savannah, West Virginia, California and Philadelphia music teachers associations, Georgia Music Educators, and The Juilliard School. Keynote Speaker for The National Conference on Keyboard Pedagogy in Chicago in 2002 and, in 2004, featured clinician for Music Alberta Festival, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Recorded the complete Beethoven violin and piano sonatas with Robert Gerle and received an Emmy award for their videotape of these for public television. Released a compact disc of solo piano music of Brahms, Mozart, Debussy and Liszt. Judge of international competitions in Portugal, New York City and Washington, D.C., and recent guest artist at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow. Pianist of the Rome Trio of The Catholic University of America, and the Verano Trio, based in the Southwest.
