Established in 1950, the music department at the Catholic University of America became a School of Music in 1965. Renamed the Benjamin T. Rome School of Music in 1984, the School has hundreds of alumni, and is still a vibrant place for music-making at the Catholic University of America and in our nation's capital.

In Memoriam, Helmut Braunlich

It is with great sadness that the Benjamin T. Rome School of Music reports the passing of Professor Emeritus Helmut Braunlich. Professor Braunlich died on May 24, 2013.

Walter Honored Upon Retirement

Elaine R. Walter was honored at the Benjamin T. Rome School of Music Diploma Ceremony on May 18, 2013 with the Bishop Shahan Medal for Service.
