Ellwood Annaheim, (M.M., The Catholic University of America; B.A., LaSalle University; additional study at The Shakespeare Theatre, Temple University, and Philadelphia College of Performing Arts), lecturer in the musical theatre division and adviser to musical theatre students.. Teaches History of American Musical Theatre and Musical Theatre Workshop for sophomores. Founder and director of the Musical Theater Research Project. Co-director of the musical theatre division for the first fifteen years of the program. Has performed leading roles with The Washington Opera, Annapolis Opera, Opera Theatre of Northern Virginia and The Summer Opera Theatre Company, and directed numerous productions for the school of music. Contributed to Grove's Dictionary of Opera, and The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians.
